LUCENA CITY — The Philippine National Police in Quezon confiscated more than P6.2 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 120 suspected traffickers in the province during their operations in April.
Quezon police chief Colonel Ledon Monte said in a report issued on Wednesday, May 1, that anti-illegal drug operatives seized 305 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and 92.36 grams of marijuana worth P6,255,249.60 based on the prevailing street market price during the period.
Also arrested in April were 163 wanted felons and 833 illegal gamblers engaged mostly in illegal operation of the state-sanctioned lottery, card games, and other forms of unlawful gambling.
Cops in the province also nabbed 54 illegal fishers, 15 illegal loggers, and nine individuals in possession of undocumented firearms during the period.
