MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail nationwide due to easterlies with chances of light rains and isolated thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a morning forecast, Pagasa advised the public to bring umbrellas when going out since the heat is expected to peak starting Sunday noon.

(Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience hot and humid weather, especially during noon. So, if you are going out, don’t forget to bring protection against direct sunlight.)

(Meanwhile, in the portions of Visayas and Mindanao, also here in Palawan, today, generally fair weather will be experienced, but there will still be chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.)

Castañeda also reported no gale warning was raised on the country’s seaboards.

Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance or low-pressure area that will likely enter the Philippine area of responsibility or form within the country’s boundary for the rest of April.
