3 boys nabbed for robbery

MANILA, Philippines—Three boys were arrested for robbing jeepney passengers at knife-point before dawn Monday in Quezon City.

The boys aged 12, 13 and 16 are now in the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. They were picked up by policemen at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday after they robbed jeepney passengers at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and JP Rizal Street.

Seized from them were knives and the victims’ cell phones.—Julie M. Aurelio
