MANILA, Philippines — The decision to revoke the gun permits of embattled Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy may be reached within the week, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said on Wednesday.

“Let’s wait for the formal signature of our chief PNP, and hopefully, within the week, his approved decision will come out,” Fajardo said in a Kapihan sa Manila Bay media forum on Wednesday.

PNP- Firearms and Explosives Office Public Information Office chief Major Lady Lou Gondales said that the revocation of license is due to Quiboloy’s violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

PNP previously confirmed that Quiboloy owns 19 firearms.

Quiboloy has existing arrest warrants on charges of child abuse, sexual assault, trafficking and exploitation.
