MANILA, Philippines — Caloocan City has received a P1 million donation from the Caloocan City Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCFCCC) to support its vaccination program against pertussis, also known as whooping cough.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan thanked the CCFCCC for their ongoing commitment to local programs.
“Maraming-maraming salamat po sa CCFCCC for once again helping our city government deliver valuable and effective services to our citizens,” said Malapitan.
The mayor highlighted the chamber’s contributions not just in business and economy but also in public health.
“They focus on the health and welfare of the ‘Batang Kankaloo,’ especially now with the looming threat of another infectious disease,” he said.
Malapitan expressed his hope for continued partnership with the Chamber and reminded his constituents to remain vigilant against pertussis.
“I am thankful to the CCFCCC and hope they will not tire in helping us improve the lives and futures of our citizens,” he said. “And to our citizens, even with our vaccination program against pertussis, do not forget to be responsible for your own health and that of your family. Strengthen your immunity and follow the guidelines set by authorities against this disease.”
