Grid operator National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) is placing Luzon and Visayas grids under yellow alert Wednesday as more than 30 power plants are offline or are operating at reduced capacity.

In an advisory, NGCP said the yellow alert will be up in both Luzon and Visayas today, April 17, from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
