MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather will be experienced in Metro Manila and most parts of Luzon, while the rest of the country will have cloudy skies on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In a morning forecast, Pagasa reported that easterlies or the hot and humid Pacific Ocean winds remain the weather system affecting the country.

“At para sa magiging lagay ng panahon ngayong araw ng Linggo patuloy pa rin makararanasan ng mainit at maalinsangan na panahon dito sa Metro Manila, maging sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

(For the weather this Sunday, we will continue to experience hot and humid weather here in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.)

“At sa bahagi naman ng Visayas at Mindanao, maging sa bahagi ng Palawan, ay patuloy na makararanas ng bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na merong posibilidad ng isolated na pag-ulan, pagkidlat, at pagkulog,” she added.

(And in parts of Visayas and Mindanao, even in Palawan, we will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated thunderstorms.)

Castañeda also reported that Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance or low pressure area that may enter the country’s area of responsibility for the rest of the day.

No gale warning had been raised in any of the country’s seaboards, she added.

Metro Manila: 24 to 35 degrees Celsius

Baguio City: 17 to 26 degrees Celsius

Laoag City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius

Tuguegarao: 24 to 37 degrees Celsius

Legazpi City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius

Tagaytay: 22 to 33 degrees Celsius

Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius

Iloilo City: 28 to 32 degrees Celsius

Cebu: 27 to 32 degrees Celsius

Tacloban City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius

Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
