MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather due to the easterlies is expected on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday afternoon.
“Wala pa rin tayong binabantayang anumang bagyo sa loob at labas ng PAR, pero itong easterlies ang patuloy na umiiral sa buong bansa, kaya asahan antin patuloy ang maaliwalas ngunit mainit at maalinsangang tanghali,” said Pagasa weather forecaster Chenel Dominguez.
(We are not monitoring any typhoon within and outside the PAR, but the easterlies will continue to prevail and will result in hot and humid noontime.)
“May mga tiyansa ng localized thunderstorms lalo na sa hapon at gabi dito sa eastern sections ng ating bansa,” she added.
(There are also chances of localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, especially in the eastern sections of the country.)
No gale warning is in effect over any of the country’s surrounding coasts and in-land seas.
