MLC: There is art in bluffing
BLUFFING may be annoying to some, but on Wednesday it is part of Cebuano artistry.
A night of bluff and fun will help out a fund-raising activity for the preservation of Cebuano heritage.
Taking a breather from fighting flyover projects in Cebu City, the Movement for Liveable Cebu holds a month-long activity showcasing heritage and modern literature. Sanka sa Hambog (Cebu Bluffing Competition) is open for everyone on May 16 at the Handuraw Cafe in Lahug, Cebu City.
The MLC is organizing a fund-raising cultural event every Wednesday night in May dubbed “Lingaw-lingaw sa Handuraw.” It is hosted by columnist and TV personality Sam Costanilla.
The activity kicked off last May 9 with Gabii sa Pasiawit featuring Cebu-based stand up comedienne and songs.
On May 23 Tigmo-tigmo Agukoy ug Balitaw (Cebuano Riddles & Trivia) will be featured. On May 30 with Gabii sa mga Harana ug Balak (A night of Serenade and Poetry).
