LUCENA CITY — Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents intercepted on Wednesday, April 10, more than P3.4 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) bound for Oriental Mindoro in a buy-bust operation in Batangas City.

An initial report on Thursday from the Region 4A police said that PDEA-Region 4A operatives nabbed one “Grace,” 37, around 4 p.m. in Batangas City port in Barangay Sta. Clara.

The suspect was found in possession of five knot-tied plastics containing shabu weighing 500 grams and worth P3,450,000.

A PDEA agent based in its regional office said in a phone interview Thursday that the suspect, a native of Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, was bound for the island when she was arrested.

The agency was tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

The arrested suspect was detained and is facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
