 Korean falls to death from Manila hotel

 

MANILA, Philippines — A 26-year-old Korean national fell to his death from the 5th floor of a hotel in Malate, Manila, on Wednesday morning, according to police. 

Based on a report from the Manila Police District (MPD), a witness, Flora Marcadejas, said she was preparing her meal inside her hotel room when she heard a loud thud from the parking entrance.

Upon checking, police said Marcadejas saw the bloodied body of the victim, who was identified by MPD as a certain “Lee,” sprawled on the ground.

Authorities arrived at the scene around 7:55 a.m., shortly after the witness reported the incident to the hotel guard. 

The police said the fatality was wearing a white shirt and black pants and was barefoot. A cursory examination also showed that he had sustained multiple physical injuries.

Investigation showed that the Korean checked into the hotel last week and was last seen alive on April 8, around 7:35 p.m.

Further investigation is ongoing.
