Meralco Business Centers closed on April 10

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) Business Centers will be closed on Wednesday, April 10, in observance of Eid al-Fitr, the company said in an advisory.

Meralco also said that operations in their business centers will resume on Thursday.

In the meantime, the power distributor advised its clients to check their list of authorized payment channels posted on Facebook.

They may also send their payments via the Meralco Mobile Application.

“For any other inquiries or concerns, Meralco is ready to serve you 24/7 via our online channels,” the advisory posted on their Facebook account on Tuesday read.

Eid al-Fitr, the feast of breaking the fast, is an Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan.

The occasion was also declared a regular holiday in the Philippines on June 5, 2019, by former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Workers in the private sector who will report to work on this day are entitled to 200 percent of their salary, according to the Department of Labor and Employment.
