SORSOGON CITY – Authorities seized more than P1.5 million worth of  suspected shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation on Monday in Labo town in Camarines Norte province.

Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police chief, said in a report Tuesday, April 9, that 225 grams of shabu worth around P1.53 million was recovered from a high value drug suspect, who was also arrested in the operation.

Dizon said the 51-year-old suspect, who was identified as alias “Say,” was nabbed at 12:21 a.m. on Monday in Barangay Kalamunding.

The suspect was originally a resident of Baseco Port Area in Manila.

Now under police custody, the suspect will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
