'High-value' drug pusher busted in Rizal

LUCENA CITY — Two drug suspects were arrested and shabu (crystal meth) worth about P340,000 was confiscated early Tuesday, April 9, in a buy-bust operation in Cainta town in Rizal province.

The Region 4A police said in a report that anti-narcotics agents nabbed “Kuya” and “Jhen” at around 2 a.m. after they sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay San Isidro.

Seized from the suspects were eight plastic sachets containing 50 grams of meth worth P340,000.

The police also confiscated a Mitsubishi Mirage G4 believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

The suspects are included on the police drug watch list as street-level drug pushers. The police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

Both suspects were detained at the local police jails and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
