MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) reminded the public of the April 30 deadline for the consolidation of public utility vehicles (PUV).
It said that the end-of-the-month deadline is the final extension and failure to comply would lead to the cancellation of the franchises of unconsolidated PUVs.
“So we are asking now the jeepney operators to now avail of the last extension because come April 30, we will no longer allow those who did not consolidate to ply the routes of Metro Manila,” LTFRB chief Teofilo Guadiz III said in a press conference Monday.
