Pagasa: Fair weather expected on Araw ng Kagitingan
MANILA, Philippines — Fair, hot and humid weather, along with cloudy skies will prevail on Tuesday, Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday afternoon.
“Asahan pa rin natin sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon ang epekto ng easterlies, magdadala pa rin ito ng fair weather conditions sa umaga hanggang sa tanghali at minsan makulimlim ang panahon pagsapit ng tanghali hanggang sa gabi,” said Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja.
(We can still expect the influence of easterlies over a significant portion of Luzon, bringing fair weather conditions from morning until noon, with occasional cloudy skies in the afternoon until evening.)
However, due to weather convergence or the meeting of warm and cold winds, cloudy skies and rain should be expected over Batanes.
In the Visayas, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are likewise expected, with only chances of rain in the afternoon.
Overcast skies and rain may also prevail over the Caraga region in Mindanao, especially from noon until evening.
The rest of Mindanao, on the other hand, will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with hot and humid temperatures.
No low-pressure area is also expected to enter of form within the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
No gale warning is currently in effect over the country’s surrounding coasts and in-land seas, but moderate to rough sea conditions with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 3.1 meters should be expected over Northern Luzon.
