PDEA seizes P680,000 worth of shabu in Pasig City bust

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has warned the public to be wary of fake news, as it debunked false operational documents allegedly from the agency, circulating online.

LUCENA CITY — Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives seized on Saturday, April 6, an estimated P680,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and arrested two alleged big-time traffickers in Pasig City, the PDEA-Region 4A (Calabarzon) said Sunday, April 7.

In a report, PDEA-Region 4A operatives along with agents from the National Capital Region conducted a joint buy-bust operation in an open parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Barangay (village) Malinao around 3:20 p.m.

The suspects, identified as Kodus Imam, 27, and Salic Arumpac, 36, were caught in possession of 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000.

‘High-value’ targets

Both suspects were classified as “high-value” targets in the government campaign against illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, PDEA-Region 4A operatives and local policemen also dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested four suspects in Barangay Santa Cruz in Antipolo City around 9 p.m.

A report disclosed that Jaycee Ryan Bernardo, 40; Randy Mendoza, 43; John Christopher Tributo, 29; Alberto Verias, 57; and Miguel Diciembre, 36, were collared during the operation.

The anti-illegal drug operatives seized 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 and various drug paraphernalia from the arrested suspects.

The report also tagged Bernardo, the alleged drug den maintainer, as the target of the operation.

All suspects were detained and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
