MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather will prevail in Luzon, while the rest of the country is expected to have high chances of rain showers due to easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a morning forecast, the state weather service said that easterlies will continue to affect areas nationwide.

“Patuloy magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang maulap ang lagay ng panahon dito sa buong bahagi ng Luzon kung saan magiging mainit pa rin po yung panahon na ating mararanasan,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported.

(Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, as well as hot and humid weather.)

In line with this, Castañeda advised the public to remain indoors or limit their activities outside.

Meanwhile, parts of Visayas and Mindanao will have rain showers and thunderstorms.

In the meantime, Castañeda said Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance or low-pressure area that may enter the country’s area of responsibility for the rest of the day.
