Easterlies to bring rain in parts of Mindanao on Saturday — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will bring overcast skies and rain over parts of Mindanao on Saturday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Sa may Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu at Tawi-Tawi, asahan natin na makakaranas sila ng mauulap na papawirin na may mga kalat kalat na pagulan dulot nitong easterlies,” said weather forecaster Chenel Dominguez.

(In the areas near Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, we can expect them to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers brought about by the easterlies.)

Meanwhile, the rest of the country including Luzon, Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao will experience generally fair weather, with hot and humid temperatures.

“May mga tiyansa rin ng localized thunderstorm lalo na sa hapon at sa gabi,” said Dominguez.

(There are also chances of localized thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.)

No gale warning is also currently in effect over the country’s surrounding coasts and in-land seas.
