P3M meth seized from 3 'high-value' drug suspects in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Policemen arrested three suspected drug peddlers classified as “high-value individuals” who allegedly yielded “shabu” (crystal meth) worth at least P3,343,000 in two separate anti-illegal drug operations in Tarlac City.

In a statement on Thursday, April 4, the Tarlac provincial police office said the first buy-bust operation was conducted at 11:51 p.m. on Tuesday in San Miguel village.

The operation resulted in the arrest of two female suspects after they allegedly sold P40,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer.

Four plastic packs containing some 450 grams of shabu worth P3,060,000 were confiscated from the suspects.

Later on the same day, policemen arrested another drug suspect in a separate sting operation in San Francisco village. The suspect allegedly yielded 55 grams of shabu with a street value of P374,000.

All three suspects were arrested and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Colonel Miguel Guzman, Tarlac police director, said operations against drug personalities and the illegal drug trade would continue to significantly increase the number of drug-cleared villages in the province. INQ
