The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT 3) and Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT 2) administrations said on Wednesday that Filipino veterans and their companions get to ride for free from April 5 to 11 in observance of Philippine Veterans’ Week. In a statement on its Facebook page, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said a veteran and one companion or aide may avail themselves of free rides during the trains’ regular operating hours by presenting the veteran’s valid identification card issued by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office. “MRT 3 recognizes the important contributions of all our World War II veterans to our society.
