The agency said that it attributed its gains through its higher assessment rate and improvement of revenue collection.

It likewise said that border protection efforts, such as interception of smuggled goods, helped prevent revenue loss.

BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said that the revenue that the agency collects will help in building the nation’s future.

“The revenue collected by our agency serves as a lifeline for our government coffers, funding crucial national projects such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and disaster preparedness. Every peso collected is a testament to our commitment to serving the Filipino people and building a brighter future for our nation,” Rubio said.
