Bureau of Customs exceeds March 2024 revenue collection target
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Wednesday reported that it exceeded its revenue collection target for March 2024.
According to the BOC, it collected P75.429 billion last month, 3.45 percent more than its target of P72.910 billion.
It added that it also exceeded its target cumulative revenue for January to March 2024, posting P219.385 billion, which is 4.03 percent higher than its P210.896 billion target.
The agency said that it attributed its gains through its higher assessment rate and improvement of revenue collection.
It likewise said that border protection efforts, such as interception of smuggled goods, helped prevent revenue loss.
