MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said it is not true that it would give P1,000 to anyone who can identify fake or undeserving beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

In an advisory, the DSWD urged the public not to believe the Facebook page “DSWD Assist,” which illegally uses the DSWD logo and spreads misinformation.

“Hindi totoo ang Facebook post na ang 4Ps ng DSWD ay magbibigay ng P1,000 sa mga makapagtuturo sa mga hindi karapat-dapat na benepisyaryo ng programang ito,” the agency said.

(The Facebook post that the 4Ps of the DSWD will give P1,000 to those who can point to ineligible beneficiaries of this program is not true.)

The DSWD explained that under Sections 5 and 6 of Republic Act 11310, which institutionalized 4Ps, beneficiaries must belong to poor families as assessed by the National Household Targeting Unit (NHTU).

It also pointed out that the DSWD list of 4Ps recipients is continuously reviewed to ensure errors are corrected.

The DSWD encouraged the public to report directly to its offices any irregularity they observe regarding 4Ps and its implementation on the ground.

“Sa mga nakakaalam na napabilang sa programa na sa tingin natin ay hindi karapat-dapat, maaari ninyo itong ipaabot ng diretso sa aming ahensya upang agad na ma-verify at ma-validate ng aming mga Regional Program Management Office,” the DSWD urged the public.

(For anyone who has knowledge about people included in the program whom we think are not eligible, you can report it directly to our agency for immediate verification and validation by our Regional Program Management Offices.)

“Maaari rin kayong magpadala ng mensahe sa Facebook Page ng 4Ps (You can also send a message on the 4Ps Facebook Page),” it likewise said.

It further mentioned that the DSWD’s official website is www.dswd.gov.ph, while its official social media pages are:

The DSWD then asked the public to report the misleading Facebook page DSWD Assist so Meta could remove the social media account from the platform.
