MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies will prevail nationwide on Tuesday with possible rain showers due to thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday afternoon.
Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres, however, said the ridge of a high pressure area in the eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon would lower the chances of rain in some parts of Luzon.
“We expect that in Cagayan and Isabela areas the chance of rain,” Torres said in Filipino.
“However, in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, there are still chances of localized thunderstorms.”
Visayas and Mindanao would likewise have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of rain due to localized thunderstorms.
No gale warning is in effect over any of the country’s seaboards.
