Antipolo City drug suspect gunned down

Police anti-narcotics operatives have arrested two alleged drug pushers and seized P68,000 worth of "shabu" in Antipolo City.

LUCENA CITY — A suspected female drug trader, who was included on the barangay watch list, was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman on Easter Sunday, March 31, in Antipolo City, Rizal.

The Region 4A police reported on Monday that the victim, identified by the alias “Rose,” was taking a bath around 3 p.m. inside her house in Barangay Cupang when an armed male barged in and repeatedly shot her using a handgun.

The gunman fled after the shooting and left Rose dead on the spot.

Citing information from barangay officials, the police said Rose had a string of drug-related cases.

Investigators also found several pieces of drug paraphernalia in the garbage bin in the vicinity of the victim’s house.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the identity of the gunman and the motive behind the incident.
