MANILA, Philippines — The NLEX Corporation announced the temporary opening of the widened Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) ramp going to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) until next week.

“The widened SCTEX to NLEx ramp at Clark Logistics Interchange will be opened temporarily from March 30 (Saturday) to April 1 (Monday),” the corporation said in a Facebook advisory on Black Saturday.

It added that the initiative serves as an “immediate solution to alleviate congestion, offering an additional lane for motorists heading from Tarlac to Manila.”

Last March 23, the Department of Tourism, advised the public to “travel wisely” during the Holy Week celebrations.

“Travelers needing accommodation, tours, transportation, and other tourism-related services are strongly advised to patronize DOT-accredited tourism enterprises. Accreditation by the DOT recognizes establishments as having complied with the department’s minimum standards set to ensure quality operation of tourism facilities and services,” the agency said.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health has raised a “Code White Alert” in anticipation of the mass travel expected from March 24 to 31.
