MANILA, Philippines — Thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila and seven other provinces on Friday afternoon, according to the state weather bureau.
In addition to the metropolis, Bataan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, and Batangas will experience weather disturbances.
In its 2:25 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the aforementioned areas will experience moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds in the next two hours after the advisory.

Pagasa urged the public to observe precautionary measures against the impacts of these hazards, including flash floods and landslides.
Weather disturbances come in areas that are already hit by hot and humid weather.
