Holy Week is the most sacred week in the Catholic Church’s liturgical calendar. The flock commemorates events leading up to Jesus Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection. It is likewise the time when Christians are encouraged to repent for their sins.

Every year, Filipino Catholics observe the Holy Week, locally known as Semana Santa, which starts on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday. This year, Holy Week was from March 24 to 30.
