Pedestrian dead in Cavite road mishap

Human remains were found along the waterways inside the westbound post of Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Calax) in Silang, Cavite, last March 18, according to police.

LUCENA CITY — A female pedestrian died Tuesday when she was hit by a speeding motorcycle in Silang town in Cavite province, police said on Wednesday, March 27.

The Region 4A police said Maria Rama was bumped at 7:25 p.m. by the motorcycle driven by one “Temeteo” while she was about to cross a national road in Barangay Pasong Langka.

Both rider and pedestrian suffered injuries and were taken by an ambulance to the Ospital ng Tagaytay in neighboring Tagaytay City, but Rama died on the way.

The report did not provide added information on the fatality.

The police are conducting further investigation.
