Drug suspect busted in Pasay, yields P20 M shabu
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested on Monday a drug suspect who yielded around P20 million worth of shabu in Pasay City.
In a report, PDEA said that its operatives, along with those from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, collared Mohammad Bagatao, alias Joseph Acogido, at the Central Mail Exchange Center, Domestic Road in Pasay City.
Found in his belongings were 3,000 grams of shabu placed in three pouches with an estimated value of P20,400,000.
Likewise recovered from Bagatao were identification cards from the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, among others.
The suspect is currently under PDEA’s custody and will face a formal complaint for violating Section 4, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
