MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has spotted cloud clusters near the eastern parts of Visayas and Mindanao, which are expected to bring scattered rain showers in the area.
The state weather bureau reported that easterlies would also bring occasional light and weak rains, as well as thunderstorms in the eastern part of the country.

“Dahil sa easterlies, magiging frequent lang yung isolated thunderstorms sa silangang bahagi ng bansa at generally fair weather conditions pa rin po tayo sa nalalabing bahagi ng bansa,” Pagasa weather specialist Rhea Torres said in a Sunday morning forecast.
(Due to easterlies, isolated thunderstorms will occur frequently in the eastern part of the country, while generally fair weather conditions are present in the rest of the country.)
She added that generally, fair weather will prevail in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon for the next three days.
No gale warning had been raised in any of the country’s seaboards.
