LEGAZPI CITY— A meat vendor was shot and killed while another person was injured in an incident inside Masbate City public market on Saturday, March 23.

The victim, identified as Edward Canino, 30, a resident of Barangay (village) Espinosa in Masbate City was standing inside the meatshop he works at when the gunman appeared at around 2:45 p.m. and repeatedly shot him, Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police director, said in a report.

Canino died instantly while another victim, who was not identified in the report, was wounded and taken to the Masbate Provincial Hospital where he received treatment.
