President Marcos on Friday ordered the Philippine Army to beef up its capability in fighting cybersecurity risks.

During its 127th founding anniversary celebration held at Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac, Marcos stressed the need to transform the Army into “a multi-mission-ready, cross-domain and capable force that can effectively thwart emerging threats to our country’s stability and sovereignty.”

“Our ability to counter cyberthreats is also of great importance. Given this emerging threat, I urge the Philippine Army to bolster its cybersecurity capabilities,” he said.
