MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways will undertake reblocking and repairs on several roads in Metro Manila this weekend, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
The MMDA said that the roadwork is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, March 22, and conclude at 5 a.m. on Monday, March 25.
Affected roads include:
- EDSA northbound Balintawak entrance of Service Road (second lane), Caloocan City
- EDSA northbound Balintawak before Footbridge (second lane), Caloocan City
- Tandang Sora Avenue from Commonwealth Avenue going to C-5, Quezon City
- Bonny Serrano Avenue westbound between 1st West Crame and 2nd Avenue, Quezon City
- Pedro Gil cor. Taft Avenue (second lane), Manila City
- EDSA southbound J.P. Rizal Avenue to Orense (third lane from sidewalk), Makati City
- EDSA northbound between Gen. Malvar St. to D. Arellano St. (third lane from sidewalk), Caloocan City
- EDSA Balintawak southbound (in front of newly constructed global oil), Quezon City
- EDSA Balintawak southbound (Rigid KKK Heavy Equipment & Supply), Quezon City
- Commonwealth Avenue, Landbank to Elliptical Road (2nd lane from sidewalk), Quezon City
- West Avenue, Ligaya Street to Del Monte Ave. (1st lane from sidewalk), Quezon City
- Batasan Commonwealth Tunnel, Filinvest 1 Road to fronting Sandigan (1st lane from plantbox), Quezon City
- EDSA southbound Greenhills 2nd District along EDSA near MG Motor (2nd lane), San Juan City
- EDSA southbound Greenhills 2nd District along EDSA in front of Jaguar (2nd lane), San Juan City
- EDSA southbound Greenhills 2nd District along EDSA near Connecticut street (2nd lane), San Juan City
- EDSA southbound Wack- Wack Greenhills East 1st District along EDSA near Parchouse (2nd lane), Mandaluyong City
- EDSA southbound Wack- Wack Greenhills East 1st District along EDSA near PGA Cars (Bike lane), Mandaluyong City
- EDSA southbound Wack- Wack Greenhills East 1st District along EDSA near securities & exchange commission (Bike lane), Mandaluyong City

“The affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, March 25,” the advisory read.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes during the said dates.
