MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Marcos are still experiencing flu-like symptoms, but their condition has improved, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said on Thursday.
“The President and the First Lady continue to experience flu-like symptoms but with improvements, maintaining stable vital signs. They are advised to continue medications, rest, and hydration for full recovery,” the PCO said in a statement.
“The President continues to work in his residence, handling correspondence and directives within medical advice. He anticipates resuming full public engagements soon, per his physician’s clearance,” it added.
News of the Marcoses’ illness broke on Wednesday night.
The President and the First Lady just came from Germany and the Czech Republic for a working visit earlier this month.
