Shabu worth P938,000 seized from 5 suspects in Rizal
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-illegal drug operatives arrested five suspected big-time traffickers in separate buy-bust operations on Tuesday and Wednesday in Rizal province and seized more than P938,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth).
A report by the Police Region 4A (PRO-4A) said policemen in San Mateo town busted “Jess,” 39, and “Maye,” 28, at 11:18 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, after they sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in a transaction in Barangay Malanday.
Authorities seized from the suspects five plastic sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing 120 grams worth P816,000 and a digital weighing scale.
The police said both suspects were on the drugs watch list as an “HVI” or high-value individual in the local drugs trade.

Article continues after this advertisementA separate report from the Rizal police said the two were previously arrested several times on drug charges but did not state why they were freed.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Binangonan town, local anti-narcotic agents nabbed “Bumbay,” “Kiddo,” and “Per” in Barangay Libis around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday.
The three suspects yielded P122,868 worth of shabu.
Bumbay and Kiddo were also classified as HVIs while Per is an identified street-level drug pusher in the locality.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in his illegal drug business.
Authorities seized three mobile phones from the arrested suspects during the two operations. The phones will be examined if they have records of drug transactions.
The Rizal police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
All suspects are under police custody and facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
