Angkas CEO is Rotary Golden Wheel awardee for entrepreneurship excellence

MANILA, Philippines –  George Royeca, the CEO of the leading homegrown motorcycle ride-hailing service Angkas, received a Golden Wheel Award for Excellence in the field of entrepreneurship.

The Rotary International District 3780, the award-giving body, honored Royeca following a nomination by the Rotary Club of Kagitingang Cubao.

Through the club’s meticulous screening process, the award aims to distinguish individuals outside the rotary exemplifying outstanding work and ethics.

“The objective of the award is to recognize outstanding non-Rotarians for their exemplary performance in the vocation or profession, striving or attaining excellence in their work and at the same time maintaining high ethical standards in the practice of their vocation,” the organization stated.

Moreover, aspirants must also have their residency or place of work in Quezon City and be nominated by a good standing Rotary Club in the district. 

Meeting the Rotary’s rigorous standards, the Angkas CEO emerged as one of the awardees. 

Royeca is now part of the lineup of dedicated individuals dedicated to stellar, and virtuous business operations encapsulated in the Rotary’s short yet earnest mantra: “Service before Self.”
