MANILA, Philippines — A man was hurt as fire hit a residential area in Quezon City on Tuesday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.
The BFP identified the wounded as Manny Abayon, 31. He sustained lacerations on his left foot. He was rescued by authorities during a fire in Isla Noah, Barangay Damayang Lagi along NIA Road.
According to the bureau, the blaze started at 10:34 a.m., reached the first alarm five minutes later, and was on the fifth alarm around 11:00 a.m.

The BFP said approximately 25 trucks responded to the area to help extinguish the flames.
As of writing, the fire was ongoing and investigation to determine the cause of the blaze was yet to commence.
