Starting Monday, March 18, motorists who pass through the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) will have to pay P1 to P3 more in tolls.

In an advisory, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said it has authorized the operator of the MCX, the Villar family-owned MCX Project Co. Inc., to begin collection of the second tranche of its provisional toll hike.

The increase in toll, which is P1 for Class 1, P2 for Class 2 and P3 for Class 3, is equivalent to the first tranche of toll adjustment implemented in November last year.

The toll hike was approved in line with the periodic adjustments for 2018 and 2020.
