MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Muntinlupa City, Pasay City, Las Piñas City, Parañaque City, and Bacoor City will experience a water supply interruption on Thursday, March 21, 2024,  Maynilad Water Services Inc. announced on Sunday.

In an advisory, Maynilad said that this is because it will temporarily close its Poblacion Water Treatment plant for a “series of activities” that will allow the plant to reach its full production capacity of 150 million liters per day.

The areas that will be affected by the water supply interruption are:

“Affected customers are advised to store enough water to last for the duration of the water supply interruption,” Maynilad said.

“To mitigate the impact of the plant shutdown, Maynilad has mobile water tankers on standby and ready to deliver clean water if needed. There are also stationary water tanks in some areas where clean water can be obtained,” the water concessionaire added.

It likewise said that when the water service resumes, residents must let the water flow for a while until it becomes clear.
