LUCENA CITY – Policemen in Rizal province arrested four drug suspects and seized more than P278,000 of shabu (crystal meth) in separate operations on Saturday and Sunday (March 16 and 17).
The Police Region 4A in a report said policemen in Taytay town arrested “Adrian” and “MJ” at around 12:05 a.m. Sunday while he was allegedly engaged in ‘cara y cruz’ (coin toss), a mode of illegal gambling.
The other gamblers were able to escape.
During the routine frisking, the two were found in possession of four plastic sachets of shabu worth P170,000.
In Cainta town, anti-narcotics agents busted “Dobo” and “Peping” in a sting operation in Barangay (village) San Andres around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspects yielded eight sachets of meth with an estimated value of P108,800.
Authorities in Rizal were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.
All arrested suspects were detained and are facing criminal charges.
