MANILA, Philippines — Rain showers are expected in parts of Central Luzon, while the rest of the country will have generally fair weather due to the easterlies, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In a morning forecast on Sunday, the state weather service said easterlies have become the dominant weather system in the country as the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, continues to weaken.

Besides the two weather conditions, Villamil said they have not monitored any weather disturbance or low-pressure area that may enter the country’s area of responsibility for the next few days.
