President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. returned to the country on Saturday after completing his five-day visits to Germany and Czech Republic that resulted in business deals amounting to $4 billion.
Accompanied by first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, the President and his official delegation arrived from Prague at 3:11 p.m. at Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.
The President was met by Vice President Sara Duterte, Armed Forces chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. and other senior government officials.
Mr. Marcos said his talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin centered on the importance of defending the rule of law and espousing a rules-based international order in maintaining global peace.

In Czechia, his talks with Czech President Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala and other ranking Czech officials resulted in an increase on the quota of Filipino workers that can be admitted to the country as well agreements on trade, defense, agriculture and renewable energy. —MARLON RAMOS
