MANILA, Philippines — Calbayog Water, a subsidiary of Manila Water Philippine Ventures, has passed the Department of Health (DOH) Region VIII’s annual spot audit of its water testing laboratory.
The completed evaluation looked into different aspects of the company’s water testing laboratory’s operations, including its testing procedures and compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water.
The water laboratory offers a range of testing services, including conventional Total Coliform and E. coli tests, Rapid Total Coliform Tests, and Heterotrophic plate counts. These tests ensure that water supplied by Calbayog Water meets the stringent quality standards set by regulatory bodies. Moreover, the laboratory extends its services to external stakeholders, fostering a broader impact within the community.

Here, the water laboratory established proficiency in microbiological analysis, reinforcing its position as a reliable testing facility.
The firm said it remains committed to continuous improvement and innovation to ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable testing results with fast turnaround times.
“As the only DOH-accredited water-testing laboratory in the province of Samar, Calbayog Water continues to uphold its commitment to delivering clean and potable water to the community,” said Fernan Barry Bohol, OIC-Operations Manager of Calbayog Water.
“The company remains steadfast in its mission to safeguard public health and contribute to the well-being of the community,” he also said.
