Quiboloy may now be arrested, says House lawmaker
Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy may already be arrested, according to Surigao del Sur 2nd District Rep. Johnny Pimentel.
The lawmaker said the arrest order against Quiboloy took effect on Friday, March 15, following the pastor’s absence during a House of Representatives panel hearing despite his lawyer’s request for a short reprieve.

DENR stops operation of Chocolate Hills resort
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) issued a cease and desist order (CDO) against the controversial resort operating within the Chocolate Hills protected area in Bohol province.
DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations Juan Miguel Cuna said the CDO was issued on March 14, putting Captain’s Peak Garden and Resort under close monitoring of the agency to make sure it won’t open for business.
Ombudsman drops suspension of 23 NFA execs in buffer stock sale
The Office of the Ombudsman scrubbed the suspension order it earlier issued against 23 National Food Authority (NFA) officers linked to the allegedly anomalous sale of rice buffer stocks.
The 23 NFA warehouse supervisors were among the 139 employees and officials of the rice agency whom the Ombudsman placed under a six-month preventive suspension so they could not influence the probe into the supposed unfavorable sale of rice buffer stocks to private retailers.
MRT 3 to suspend operations for Holy Week maintenance
The operations of Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT 3) will be suspended from March 28 to 31 for Holy Week maintenance activities, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Friday.
The last train trips before the maintenance will be on March 27 at 9:30 p.m. from North Avenue Station and 10:09 p.m. from Taft Avenue Station.
