MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority advised motorists to take alternative routes as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to conduct road reblocking and repairs this coming weekend.
In an advisory released Friday, the MMDA said DPWH’s road works will be conducted in some areas of Metro Manila starting 11 p.m. on March 15 up to 5 a.m. on March 18.

Below is the list of roads that will be affected:
- Taft Ave. cor. Pedro Gil (2nd lane), Manila City
- Edsa southbound, J.P Rizal Ave. to Orense 3rd lane from the sidewalk, Makati City
- Edsa northbound, between Tandang Sora St. to Gen. Malvar St. 2nd lane from the sidewalk, Caloocan City
- Edsa northbound Balintawak After LRT Station (1st Lane), Edsa northbound Balintawak After Oliveros
- Footbridge (1st lane), Edsa northbound Balintawak Before Oliveros Footbridge (1st Lane), Caloocan City
“The affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, March 18,” the MMDA said.

The MMDA also said in a post on Facebook that the DPWH will likewise undertake road repairs from 10 p.m. on Friday, March 15, up to 5 a.m. on Friday, March 22 in Quezon City, specifically at:
- West Avenue – Ligaya Street to Del Monte Avenue
- Batasan – Commonwealth Tunnel, Filinvest 1 Road to Commonwealth
It added that asphalt overlay activities will be conducted from 11 p.m. on March 15, until 5 a.m. on March 26, on Aurora Boulevard westbound, from Yale to Annapolis, and Kamias Road, from Kasing-Kasing Street to before Anonas Street.
