MASBATE—Four unidentified gunmen shot dead an employee of a power firm and wounded two others Tuesday evening in Barangay Estampar in Cataingan town, 60 kilometers southeast of Masbate City.
Masbate police director Senior Supt. Heriberto Olitoquit said Verjinito Bauno, 32, suffered multiple bullet wounds in the body.
He said two bystanders, Maricar Almodiel and Junrey Aplacador, were injured in the incident and rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Olitoquit said Bauno worked for DM Consunji Inc. which operates a diesel power plant in Mobo town. Jonas Cabiles Soltes, Inquirer Southern Luzon
