DOJ appoints, promotes 122 prosecutors

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Wednesday the promotion of 68 prosecutors and the appointment of 54 others as Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla urged them to adhere to a “zero-backlog policy.”

In a statement, the DOJ said that of the 122 prosecutors, five were from the Office of the Secretary of Justice Prosecution Staff (OSJPS) who were promoted.

The rest were from the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Calabarzon and Metro Manila.

The highest positions conferred were Prosecutor V and Prosecutor IV, which were given to those assigned in the OSJPS, regional, provincial and city prosecution offices, the DOJ said.
