“[The] sandal was found at the O-shape overpass yesterday just before 2 p.m. Size is EU (euro size) 41,” the office said in an advisory on Monday.

FEATURED STORIES

However, while the incident bears an uncanny similarity with a famous fairy tale, what caught the eye of netizens was POSD’s strategy in finding the missing owner.

The POSD composed a poem for the shoe’s owner, even tempting them with the possibility of finding their “Prince Charming” once they claim it.

As of posting, the POSD has yet to provide an update regarding the lost shoe.

It was not the first time a lost shoe in Baguio went viral on social media. In January 2023, a shoe was also left right on the premises of the Baguio POSD, prompting authorities to look for the owner online.
