Members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) needing urgent assistance from the state insurer may now get hold of it through its new 24/7 customer service hotlines.

PhilHealth on Friday announced that it revived its customer service hotlines, which previously operated only during office hours.

The contact numbers are now available all days of the week, even on weekends and holidays.

The new round-the-clock hotline (02) 8662-2588, as well as its customer service mobile numbers 0998-8572957, 0968-8654670, 0917-1275987, and 0917-1109812, were activated in January, according to PhilHealth corporate communications manager Rey Baleña.

In a statement on Friday, PhilHealth president and CEO Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. said this was his agency’s way of making services more accessible to members, especially overseas Filipinos.

Members may opt to request a “callback” through any of the mobile numbers by texting “PHICallback mobile number to be called details of concern,” PhilHealth said. —KATHLEEN DE VILLA
